" I overheard my grandfather say " don’t let those little kids watch those spooks on TV", i knew then grandpa was ignorant in that way, I learned at age 5 to gravitate towards beauty and SOULTRAIN is the most beautiful and influential show ever on TV and now on "you tube" it is eternal. Those traintrax are chugging along, keeping the soul strong, live music every week ( before the sampler ) and thru the 80’s setting the best examples with a new classic opening theme every few years. We could never pay him back for bringing us Brainstorm, Rufus, P-funk ,Tina Marie , Temptations, and hundreds of the best FUNK, RNB DISCO, from AMERICAN BLACK MUSIC . I appreciate you Don. The Soul train line is ever etched into our funky minds. I could never compare him to the other music shows because his vision was based on sharing the hottest jams wether they made it to top 40 payola charts or just club hits or rnb charting artists ,and don’t understand why when someone dies they get compared. He brought us down the trax to the soul railroad. The SOOOOOOOUUUUUUULLLLLLL TTTRRRRRRRAAAAAIIIIINNNNN will never stop. Those trax are eternal ”
