Don Blackman R.I.P. He called me out of the blue last Spring to ask if i’d do an interview for his radio show. i asked him “when?” he said “right now, I’ll call you back in 1 minute, are you ready ? we’ll be live”  and we were. Don was funny , knew and played with a lot of my heroes. he was one of my hero’s and wrote some of my favorite songs including this love gem HOLDING YOU,LOVING YOU . He could be sweet and loving , like this song , or wild and funky like yabba dabba doo” which has received  much play on my dance floor  thru the decades. He really took good care of his wife for nearly a decade and I am so sorry he has left this planet too soon. He was a giving man. A funny man. A talented man. I am happy he has left us with talented kids..carry on and be strong Blackman family ( which he spoke so proudly of ) ..we need to cherish this musical dna- lady miss kier
