Celebrate the good grace of Harriet Tubman…She broke the chains of her own slavery & followed the north star  to pennsylvania. She  returned 19 times over ten years to rescue more than 300  enslaved people with the force of a train…a train on the underground railroad.   She lead  their way thru the woods from safe house to safe house  until they crossed the mason dixon line into freedom . She once overheard some white men discussing her wanted poster . No matter what ….she kept going . With her bravery , courage  and big heart , she became known as “Moses” . She also helped recruit men for John Brown’s Harpers ferry , struggled for women’s right to vote after the war , and set up a retirement home . U.S. history is black history . Every month is black history month
