As a kid I saw some pots & pans that were bright red &  had Peter Max designs on them and I knew I would never be the same after seeing an everyday object become an unforgettable functional art sculpture . Years later, when I met Peter Max at his studio….he was obsessed at the time with tagging footballs  and told how he couldn’t get them out the box fast enough to tag them for the fans at the stadiums ……I never would have put those two together but it made me appreciate football fans more for appreciating Peter Max! Like the Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the century….if it’s going to be mass produced..why not make it as beautiful as it is functional. This concept inspired me to design fabrics in my teenage years. I painted endlessly and spent countless hours at the textile museum library where  I discovered Pucci!
