Avant Guard theatrical producer, David Binder talks about the new festival revolution as the U.K.’s Guardian recommends his talk as being one of the most inspiring of all Ted Talks. i agree. Ideas of audience participation and all inclusiveness brings me back to an era when the Cocketts would bumrush an old movie house and perform a free show including sylvestors unique voice, or when the merry pranksters would encourage crowd members to fly or crowd surf as it’s known today before trusting a crowd to catch you was a concert cliche , or when the early Rainbow family would appear at the Eugene town square offering free cake to the local farmers who hadn’t welcomed their communal lifestyle into their small farming town 35 years ago. Although I may seem to be reminiscing nostalgic about hippie spirit and concepts, David Binder is very much a man of today, producing De la guarda, The vagina monologues, Hedgewig and the angry inch, A raison in the sun,etc…he is inspired and inspiring the world in a way that is very NOW! listen up and see if he dosn’t make you smile and get involved. -lady Miss Kier

i’ve always loved Robinhood. He stole from the rich and powerful and gave to the poor. These days….those who sway our opinion in the mainstream media, such as Fox news are the rich and powerful.They lie to us everyday…..Matthew Keys, 26, has been charged by the Justice Department in connection with a possible hack attack on the website of his former job at a Fox owned radio station.A hero to me….but our govt wants to sentence him 25 years. What happened to fair and balanced reporting.In my opinion he was evening up the score since “freedom of press “ is owned in the U.S. Meanwhile, AIG, Lehman and Bear Stearns bankrupt the world and walk free and with a bonus while this guy faces 25 years in lockdown because he may have given “anonymous” his password to “F@#% ish up”. They can trace him but can’t trace the bankers who profited off 911 or the banksters laundering organized crime money . this is me 1990. i designed this catsuit made out of pucci tights and executed by Mr. David…a.k.a. Glamamore. This poloroid was taken moments before hitting the stage for my first london performance at a rave ,opening for Big Audio Dynamite, who brought us over just for the occasion. It happened to be the week of our first release and the B side was also an instant smash that week- “groove is in the heart” . I had already written the lyrics a few weeks before Towa played me the familiar Herbie Hancock bass loop from the soundtrack to one of my favorite movie soundtracks “Blowup. “To this day, people think Bootsy Collins wrote the baseline but it’s Herbie Hancock. and i layed the vocal don in a one take. it was the b-side to the wickid synth based “What is love” - Lady Miss Kier
